Three images from episode 28 of the 1983 NHK taiga Tokugawa Ieyasu, which was Toyohara’s television debut (he’d already debuted in film in 1981/82 with Isami). He portrayed Ii Naomasa, who made his initial claim to fame in his early 20’s at the Battle of Komaki-Nagakute (1584), which begins at episode 27.
Still trying to get to specific information about which episodes he was in. So far I know he’s in episodes 27-29. Also trying to get complete videos of his episodes. Managed to grab these images from a damaged video.
