Possible blog layout errors

I changed the theme for the blog and noticed that some of the code on the Characters page has been changed (basically, it just moved all the tables that contain images over to the right instead of being centered).  There may be other similar page format problems.   Will be working on finding and correcting them.

Also cleaned up links presentation over on the sidebar and added links to raw news sources (like Oricon, Sponichi Annex, etc.)  Gradually adding kanji titles to old entries to make them searchable by that means (since apparently searches in Japanese are leading people here, which I didn’t expect).

EDIT:  Main information pages corrected with the exception of needing to replace the collage of images from the Shakespeare Sonata promo video, which needs to be brought to ~400px in width.  It was the change in page width when I changed over to the different theme that created the cutting off of images on the right side.  It’s also affected images embedded in entries, but I’m not going to go back and replace those, mostly because Toyohara remains visible.  Anyone who saves an image to their computer is still going to get it at the full dimensions.  The images used on site update entries are not affected… they’re already edited to fit.

It’s been changed again, though nothing too drastic.  Having all his credits on one page was just too crowded and I’m much happier with a cleaner, more open feel, so dramas and films have been separated again.  I also happen to love images, so they’re back on those pages, this time from things like old sites and dvd covers.  I always enjoy seeing something from a work, even if it’s just a little pic and particularly if it’s something I’m likely not to be able to see.  I found it interesting to see a group of images together in one place that span over the years of his career.

The change in color scheme has nothing to do with Halloween.  Eventually I’ll be changing the main image on the home page and I decided to switch to something more sympathetic with that image.  It was something to do while I was sick in bed.

While there are a few new images on the main pages of the site, there are no new image pages.  Most of the raw information stored here has been incorporated.

Akismet continues to eat whatever it considers spam messages.  While I don’t expect traffic on the blog, I would really appreciate the chance to know the comments I’m not being allowed to see really ARE spam.

Comments on the blog

If anyone is trying to post comments to any of the entries, I apologize for the possibility that they may be being tagged as spam by Akismet and Akismet is not letting me check those messages.  It’s a bug in the system WordPress is supposedly working on.

I mention this now because after traffic to the blog and the number of messages Akismet says it’s grabbing have both been increasing in the past week, I’m concerned.   I wouldn’t be concerned if in all the time the blog has been activated there had been more than 3 messages caught by Akismet.  Suddenly the number is increasing daily.
