This project began back in early 2005 when my awareness of who Toyohara Kosuke is was refreshed. I had forgotten the actor of two characters I had enjoyed, first as a minor character in the US film Mr. Baseball and then the lead role in 1991′s Godzilla vs King Ghidora, both memorable because of the life he brought to them. There was no going back to misplacing his name, however, after watching him in Densha otoko.
It all started as a journal of images on a site that has long since disappeared from the internet. Over the years, it became more organized and grew in both images and information, as well as moving to several hosting sites until now it has found its home base here on WordPress. When I pulled the plug on the last independently hosted fansite after deciding to make WordPress home, the homepage had seen 4821 visitors. Not bad for an English-language site for a Japanese actor who is neither an idol nor a frequent lead.
